In a significant move to propel Morocco's green hydrogen sector forward, Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch unveiled the "Morocco Offer" on Monday, March 11, 2024, in Rabat. Stemming from the directives of HM King Mohammed VI, this initiative aims to position Morocco as a competitive force in the global green hydrogen market by leveraging the nation's abundant natural resources and strategic location.

The "Morocco Offer" encompasses the entire green hydrogen value chain, aligning with HM King Mohammed VI's vision. By embracing renewable energies and fostering an investment-friendly environment, Morocco seeks to play a pivotal role in global energy transition efforts.

This comprehensive offer delineates implementation stages, resource mobilization, infrastructure development, incentive measures, and sector governance. With one million hectares of public land earmarked, initially providing 300,000 hectares for investors, the framework prioritizes regular assessments and transparent communication between the State and investors, ensuring mutual success and progress of projects.

With nearly 100 national and international investors expressing keen interest, the "Morocco Offer" underscores the Kingdom's vast potential in green hydrogen production. As Morocco embarks on this transformative journey, green hydrogen emerges as a key driver of sustainable growth, positioning the nation at the forefront of the global energy landscape.
